#신앙이란

“그가 백세나 되어 자기 몸의 죽은 것 같음과 사라의 태의

죽은 것 같음을 알고도 믿음이 약하여지지 아니하고”

신앙이란 무엇일까?

​

어떤 기독교인들은 성경에서 이해하기 힘든 기적과 영적

인 교훈에 대해서는 믿지 않는다. 그건 신을 인간처럼 낮

춰서 생각하기 때문이다.

​

오감을 통해 확인할 수 없는 것에 대해서는 거짓이라 생

각하는 경우도 있다. 그러한 행동은 신을 근본적으로 인

정하지 않는 것과 같다.

​

아브라함은 하나님을 경외했고 자식을 약속하신 하나님

께서 아이를 갖지 못하는 아내의 몸 상태에도 불구하고

기적을 일으키실 것을 믿었다. 그것은 아브라함이 하나님

의 신됨을 인정하고 그의 전능하심을 믿었기 때문이다.

​

그래서 우리는 경외가 없는 신앙은 거짓이라고 말한다.

​

“Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead--since he was about a hundred years old--and that Sarah's womb was also dead.”

​

What is faith?

​

Some Christians refuse to believe the miracles and spiritual teachings in the Bible that are difficult to comprehend. This happens because they treat God as humans.

​

There are also Christians who regard anything that cannot be verified

through the five senses as false. Such an attitude is essentially denial of God Himself.

​

Abraham feared God, and he believed that God could work miracles and give him a son, despite his wife’s inability to conceive. He could believe this because he acknowledged God as truly God and trusted in His omnipotence.

​

Therefore, we say that faith without reverence is false.

#계산적인사람들 “오직 선을 행함과 서로 나눠주기를 잊지 말라 이 같은 제사 는 하나님이 기뻐하시느니라” ​ 너무도 계산적인 사람들과 함께 일해본 적이 있다. ​ 그들은 함께 공존한다는 가치를 이해하지 못한다. 오직 혼 자 독식해야 한다는 목적을 위해 브레이크 없이 움직인다. 그리고 그들은 직원들을 장기의 말처럼 사용한다. 따라서 직원들과 성공의 경험을 나누고 이익을 공유하는 비전을 얘기하지만 사실 그것은 거짓말이다. 성공을 위해 당연히 직원이 희생해야 한다는 논리는 그래서 위험한 것이다. ​ 성경은 이기적인 사람들의 계산적 전략과 달리 선을 행하 는 것과 공존을 위해 나누는 것을 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 일이라고 말씀하신다. ​ 경쟁에서 이기기 위해 숨막히는 계산을 하는 이기적인 이 들의 셈법은 그리스도인들에게는 통하지 않는다. 하나님 께서 싫어하는 것이기 때문이다. ​ “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” ​ I have experience working with people who were extremely calculating. ​ They do not understand the value of coexistence. They move forward without restraint, driven only by the goal of taking everything for themselves. They treat employees like pieces on a chessboard. 산 자의 하나님...

#산자의하나님 “내가 생존 세계에서 여호와 앞에 행하리로다” ​ 성경에 보면 이스라엘 사람들은 하나님을 죽은 조상들의 하 나님으로 취급하고 있었다. 하지만 우리 주님은 자신을 아브 라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님이라 일컬었다. ​ 그들은 육신적으로 죽었지만 하나님과의 신앙 속에서 여전 히 살아 있다고 하셨다. 또한 하나님은 죽은 자의 하나님이 아니라 살아 있는 자의 하나님이심을 거듭 증거하셨다. ​ 우리가 죽으면 어떻게 하나님의 일을 행할 수 있겠는가? 하 나님께서 살아계시기에 우리는 담대할 수 있고 살아 있는 가운데 주님을 섬기고 또 주님께서 하신 일을 증거할 수 있 다. ​ 십자가에서 주님은 돌아가셨지만 그것은 끝이 아니었다. 과 연 주님은 부활하셨고 또 지금 살아서 역사하고 계신다. 그 렇지 않다면 우리의 믿음도 헛된 것에 불과하다. 죽음을 이 기신 주님 앞에 우리는 더 담대해져야 한다. ​ “I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.” ​ In Scripture, we see that the Israelites regarded God as merely the God of their dead ancestors. ​ However, our Lord identified Himself as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, declaring that although they had died physically, they are still alive in their relationship with God. He repeatedly testified that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. ​ If we were dead, how could we perform the work of God? Because God is alive, we can be bold—serving the Lord...

세상과 다른 이유...

  “나는 땅에서 객이 되었사오니 주의 계명을 내게 숨기지 마 소서” ​ 우리는 복음을 깨닫고 주님의 자녀가 된 후 세상 사람들과 구별된 무리가 됐다. 그래서 성경은 우리를 나그네나 객이 라고 표현했다. ​ 거짓된 세상에서 희희낙락할 수 없기 때문이고 이해받을 수도 없기 때문이다. 우리는 잠시 세상에 머물다가 떠나야 하는 운명이다. ​ 우리는 손님이기에 인도함을 받지 못하면 방황할 수 있다. 그래서 주님의 말씀의 인도함이 항상 필요한 상황이다. 항 상 주님께 아뢰고 인도를 구해야 하는 우리이다. ​ 이익을 위해 악과 야합하는 것도 안 되고 거짓된 일에 얽혀 서도 안 된다. 주님의 계명에 어긋나는 일은 우리의 정체성 을 흔들기 때문이다. 이것이 우리가 세상과 다른 이유이다. ​ “I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.” ​ After realizing the Gospel and becoming children of the Lord, we have become saints set apart from the world. That is why Scripture describes us as strangers and sojourners. ​ We cannot revel in the false world, nor can we expect to be understood by people in the world. Our destiny is to remain in this world only for a while and then depart from it. ​ As guests, we may wander if we are not guided. Therefore, we are always in need of the guidance by the Lord’s Word.
